Sorry, I didn't really have much time today to write about anything... I was mainly spending the day being depressed because I have to go back to work after a long maternity leave.. ;__;

So, because I had no time to blog today, here's a random picture.



And because I told myself that I would never let my daughter Riley watch Barney, here's another picture because it speaks the truth!!

Demi Lovato

Every so often I'll find a musician or actor that I like. This time, It's Demi Lovato. Ok yeah, she's a star born from the Disney channel but so what? Her personality and singing make her awesome!



Demi began her acting career at the age of six on the children's television series Barney & Friends where she met Selena Gomez. I, being a Disney geek, loved the movie Camp Rock where she played the lead role of Mitchie, a girl who loved to sing and write her own songs. One of my favorite songs from the movie is "This is Me" where she sings with Joe Jonas.

I didn't really take notice of her until I watched the movie again (Disney likes to play their movies.. a lot..) and the song stuck in my head.. which in turn made me want to download it. I did, and have played it numerous times that have probably annoyed my lovely husband Chris.

Afterwards I decided to buy  her album entitled "Don't Forget" that she co-wrote with the Jonas Brothers.
The songs,  "La La Land, Don't Forget, Get Back, and Two Worlds Collide" are my favorite. Soon afterwards, I bought her second album that came out in July called "Here we go again".

But that's not the only reason why I like her! I love watching her show "Sonny with a Chance"
The series centers on character Sonny Munroe (Demi Lovato), who moves with her mother from a small town in Middleton, Wisconsin to Hollywood, California after being cast in a comedy show called So Random!. The series follows Sonny's first experiences with Hollywood and fame.



The show has been picked up for a second season so I look forward to watching that as well as Camp Rock 2!

LOLcat Invasion

I'm sure many people have seen a LOLcat somewhere on the web, the most popular one being "I CAN HAZ CHEEZBURGER" written underneath it, but one has to wonder.. where did the LOLcat come from? Where did it start? And... LOLcat... has it's own wiki page... I kid you not! Here's alittle from it:

A lolcat is an image combining a photograph, most frequently of a cat, with a humorous and idiosyncraticcaption in (often) broken English—a dialect which is known as "lolspeak" or "kitty pidgin" and which parodies the poor grammar typically attributed to Internet slang. The name "lolcat" is a compound word of the acronymic abbreviation "LOL" and the word "cat".^[1] A synonym for "lolcat" is cat macro, since the images are a type of image macro.^[2] Lolcats are designed for photo sharing imageboards and other internet forums.
The term lolcat gained national media attention in the United States when it was covered by Time,^[3] which wrote that non-commercialized phenomena of the sort are increasingly rare, stating that lolcats have "a distinctly old-school, early 1990s, Usenet feel to [them]".

LOLcats even have their own world, were Ceiling cat and Basement cat were born. "Ceiling Cat" and the corresponding "Basement Cat" (a black cat who lives in the basement) have been said to represent God and Satan in the lolcat universe.



 I do find it quite amusing to go to their website and browse the pictures. It's fun to do when you want to procrastinate!  LOLcats also have a website that is devoted to their language and will teach you the Lolspeak

All in all, you gotta love the lolcats. Yes it's silly and sometimes you can't understand what the hell they are saying, but it's just pure fun. Nothing wrong with looking at cute pictures of cats doing silly things.










 

Spice and Wolf Season 2

Ahh.. and another show ends. To bad it was only 12 episodes.. But they did leave it open for a 3rd season.

Spice and Wolf is a light novel series that has been licensed by Yen Press, so hopefully I can read those soon ^^
The anime has been licensed by Funimation... hooray...



Spice and Wolf's story revolves around Kraft Lawrence, a twenty-five-year-old traveling merchant who peddles various goods from town to town to make a living in a stylized historical setting with European influences.^[6] His main goal in life is to gather enough money to start his own shop, and he already has been traveling for seven years while gaining experience in the trade. One night when stopped at the town of Pasroe, he finds in his wagon a pagan wolf-deity girl named Holo who is over six hundred years old. She appears to be a fifteen-year-old girl, except for a wolf's tail and ears. She introduces herself as the town's goddess of harvest, who has kept it blessed with good harvests of wheat for many years. Despite having the responsibility to watch over the town, she wants to go back to her homeland in the north called Yoitsu; she believes the people have already forsaken her and that she has kept her promise to maintain the good harvests.

In the 2nd season, they are still traveling, making their way up north to her homeland but with many stops on the way. Lawrence is still a merchant that needs to make a profit. Throughout their travels, the two have had many ups and downs but she helps him by providing her wisdom which helps to increase his profits and get him out of jams

They also meet various new characters which are either friends or foes.



All in all I'm glad that we finally got to see Lawrence say "I love you" to Horo. She mad multiple attempts but the guy never realized. Poor Lawrence Craft may be a genius at business, but he sure is dense when it comes to other matters. Although she's afraid of falling in love with him, because she's aware that he'll leave her one day (she'll outlive him). What really strikes right at the heart is Horo’s inner conflict. Caught between her desire to return home and her blossoming feelings for Lawrence, she struggles to balance her wolf nature with her human side. Aww.. and they finally kissed too.

Come on there better be a Season 3!! They finally gave us some clues about her hometown and that it was possibly destroyed by a giant bear. I must see! And I still look forward to reading the novels since novels are usually better.

2010 Upcoming Movies

2010 looks to be an interesting year for movies! Some of which I want to see, others I dunno until I see the preview. Which movies would you like to see?

Alice and Wonderland by Tim Burton!
Johnny Depp in another crazy role! Of course being that this is a Tim Burton film, his wife Helen will be in it, but also Anne Hathaway and Alan Rickman. Danny Elfman is doing the music! yay! There seems to be a trailer for it, but everyplace I have gone to, to see it.. doesn't work.. =(

Iron Man 2 is another I'm looking forward to! I really enjoyed the first movie so hopefully the sequel will be just as good. More adventures from billionaire Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) who leads a double life as an iron-plated crime fighter. Mickey Rourke will play Whiplash, a character that includes elements from that comic book villain and Crimson Dynamo, another Russian baddie. Sam Rockwell will play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Stark.

Robin Hood starring Russel Crowe is coming out as well. I haven't seen the trailer.. but maybe it will be good?

Shrek Forever After. The 4th movie in the Shrek franchise. The first Shrek was great, the second one was good (Gotta love Puss!) And the 3rd one was goodish. Will the 4th one hold up or will it continue to go down.. The storyline is: Shrek (Mike Myers) has become a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumplestiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all of Rumpelstiltskin’s mischief in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one "True Love" and family.

Prince of Persia, based off the popular video game. With Disney at the helm, it may be alright but not holding my breath since most game turned movies turn out bad. But.. then again.. Jake Gyllenhaal as the main character? Umm.. He just looks like a pansy to me.. I'm sorry he does! See for yourself!



The A-Team... not even going to comment.. I pity the Foo!

The Last Airbender I am looking forward too! I was a big fan of the tv series and at first I wasn't sure how the movie would turn out since M. Night Shyamalan was doing it but then.. he would be a good one to do it because the story is set in a different world. The first of 3 movies, this one will follow the first season of the show.  And.. I'm glad they didn't give Zuko that goofy hairstyle.. and from the screenshots it looks like his has the scar still.. but you can barely see it.



Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1! Oh yes, so looking forward to this!  To bad you have to wait til July 2011 for Part 2... ;__;



And.. a Movie for 2010... Puss in Boots!! Puss from Shrek is getting his own movie!! Awesome!!

Shugo Chara

I thought I should make a post about my layout. It's from the anime/manga Shugo Chara!

Shugo Chara series created by the manga author duo, Peach-Pit. The story centers on elementary school girl Amu Hinamori, whose popular exterior, referred to as "cool and spicy" by her classmates, contrasts with her introverted personality. When Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her would-be self, she is surprised to find three colorful eggs the next morning, which hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su.



Ok.. I'll admit it.. I like cute shows. And although this isn't as cute as some shows, it does have those "lessons in life" stuff. But I still like it! I like the manga, but the show is so much better =)

Shugo Chara's first season started out with 51 episodes and now Shugo Chara Doki ended at episode 102 and thankfully, Shugo Chara's 3rd season starts immediately on October 3rd! yay!!
And soo.. we get more Ikuto! The loveable naughty kitty!



At the end of Shugo Chara Doki, Amu and the guardians had successfully rescued Ikuto and stopped the evil Easter corporation from obtaining the Embryo, a mysterious egg that is said to have the power to grant wishes. The Easter co. managed to catch what was believed to be the Embryo, but it was actually the lost heart egg of Hikaru, the boss of Easter.

Soo many things to look forward to in Season 3!! Such as.. Will Amu and Ikuto get together? Will Amu stay with Tadase? Will Tadase ever wear a skirt again?! Hehehehe



Will we get to see more antics of Ikuto and Amu? Is the mysterious 5th cross egg real or a rumor? I shall stay tuned to find out and try to write a review for each episode! Yay yay!



Hmmmmm.... Now it turns out that the new 「Shugo Chara Party!」 series will be part anime, entitled 「Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki」, and part live-action. A short Shugo Chara spin-off called 「Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi!」 will also debut.

The first Blog

Hello there!
For those of you who are crazy enough to read my blog, I welcome you!
I'm going to try to keep up with it... heh.. going to try and post something everyday.. but don't hold me to that!

Well, I've decided that my first blog will be about my pride and joy. My daughter Riley.



Isn't she just the cutest!

It's still amazing that she's here. And, I should warn you, you'll probably get tired of my talking about her, but I honestly can't help it! She is the love of my life.

Ah, like I said, it's truly amazing that she's here. Those 9 months of hell being pregnant just seemed to go away. I don't even remember how bad it was. It's almost like it never happened!
Looking at her now, and looking at her when we had the 4D done is just wow.



I still remember when I went to go get the 4D done. The nurse would poke her til no end to get her to stop hiding her face. Ahh.. that $75 was worth it.

Then came the day when I went into labor. All that time wondering what my daughter would look like. Of course I was in a emotional wreck during all that. It's still something else.. I remember when I first saw her, then the doctor took her away, taking her to the ICU.. ahh, I cried so much when I heard that. What mother wouldn't when they see their baby like this?



But thankfully she didn't stay in there long. After 3 days both myself and Riley were able to go home! Yay! With a lot of help from my husband and family, Riley settled into her new home.
Here she is about a week old I believe..



It's amazing how big she's gotten in such a short amount of time! She's slowing starting to sleep better at night and she's growing even more attached to Chris and myself. I love it when she smiles.. I can make any bad day that I'm having immediately go away.

Ahh.. well that ends my first blog.. because I hear the princess crying. So.. til next time!
